Lynn Golabowski is Senior Vice President/Team Director with ConferenceDirect. She has many years of meeting and hotel industry experience including positions in both operations and sales and marketing with Stouffers, Marriott, Hyatt, and Wyndham. She is past Executive Director of Meeting Professionals International – Wisconsin Chapter. Since 1995, Lynn has been a meeting planner, author and speaker. Her experience from both sides of the meetings industry – supplier and buyer, brings a unique perspective to her clients. Lynn is a published author in numerous meetings industry magazines and is the co-author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide® to Meeting and Event Planning”. Since joining ConferenceDirect in 2001 she has negotiated over 1,600 hotel and convention center contracts and has visited more than 75 cities throughout US, Canada and Mexico. Her extensive knowledge of the best venues throughout North America helps her clients select the best locations for their meetings. Lynn assists her clients from start to finish, including hotel room audits (to find guest rooms booked by attendees outside the established meeting block and confirm total room pick up) to avoid attrition issues, cancellation policies, concession obligations, reservation set up procedures and the other 50+ items in a contract that should be monitored. She is with you from the beginning of the site search to getting the final history for the meeting file.
